The Gladius, the primary weapon of the roman legions until the 3rd century, was used in many variations. This offered replica is named after the town of Pompeji and was used since the first century.
This sword offers a blunt, straight blade made of high carbon steel. The grip, guard and pommel are made of wood and are screwed to the tang with a brass nut. A brass plate is fitted on the guard.
The provided scabbard is made of red leather-wrapped wood and protected with a brass frame and carrying rings.
