This medieval surgical kit is composed of eight hand-forged medical tools as partly already used by the ancient Romans but above all during the Middle Ages.
The perfect gear for the portrayal of a healer, feldsher, doctor or surgeon at medieval re-enactment and LARP events.
Each tool, namely an awl, a pair of scissors, hooks, a knife, a scalpel, tweezers and a bone saw, are forged from non-stainless steel. The whole set comes with a matching leather bag (approx. 14 x 23 cm).
In the Middle Ages, the medical profession was not exclusively practiced by learned physicians. Quite often, especially in times of war, artisan surgeons, feldshers and so-called barber surgeons would also perform surgery.
Details:
- Material: wrought iron, blackened but not stainless
- Pouch made of cowhide

It goes without saying that this product is solely a prop to be used for historical re-enactment, LARP, theatrical performances, etc. This surgical kit is by no means suitable for people's treatment. We thus strongly advise against its practical use.

The steel used here is not rust-proof and might show slight surface tarnishing in places. We recommend you to maintain the items on a regular basis, for example using Oil, which is ideally suited for steel care.
