Our Corinthian Helmet is hand crafted from a durable 18 gauge steel and has an antique bronze/brass finish. It comes complete with a separate padded lining cap that can be glued in if required.

The Corinthian Helmet originated in ancient Greece and took its name from the city-state of Corinth. It was depicted in Greek sculpture more than any other helmet – romantically associated with the glories of the past. The Greek goddess Athena, is frequently depicted wearing a Corinthian style helmet. The Corinthian Helmet afforded excellent protection for its wearer but was both expensive to make and uncomfortable to wear. It also restricted hearing and vision and gradually gave way to a more open-faced but less protective style of helmet.
