Swords of this type were mainly used by the cavalry and the navy of the 18th century in Europe .
This replica of a European short sword has a blade made of spring steel EN45 , which is not sharpened. The guard and the handle with corresponding hand guard are made of brass .
The scabbard is made of leather-wrapped wood, with brass fittings.
